The apostle Peter, by the inspiration of God Almighty, promised every Christian two things: the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise for all can be summed up in the word salvation. To be saved is to have one's sins remitted, or forgiven, and to be placed in covenant relationship with God. What a wonderful blessing! And, it is within reach of each one of us!
